Week Five (Lateral Thinking)

We did a group project in class regarding about either a lady or a men that is trapped in an island and being rescued to attend the Grammys Award for the best dress award. So, we decided that we make a lady and a boy costume. As you can see, the lady dress are more with leaves, flowers and shells. As the men are just covered with leaves. Because they are stranded in an Tropical Island somewhere in neverland.

As i learned about this week subject about Lateral Thinking is a brainstorming and think outside of the box. Also the six thinking hat.
Here's the six thinking hats. It's actually really useful to use this in a group project or group work. As once you chose the hat, you'll stick to the rule of the hat colour.
Those are what we used for the lady that was stuck in an tropical island somewhere in neverland.

Week Four (Mindmapping)

We did a series of mind-mapping. About the routes of our dreams. What do you need to achieves your dreams. What you need to do is, just draw a mindmap that indicates what are the possibility on reaching to your dreams. It could be words or drawing as long as it means something to it. As you can see mine is about becoming famous. How do i need to get famous? Get a good education, be good at acting/music. Gets networking. Once you get this to yourself. That's where you get famous and could afford a pretty house, jacuzzi and i guess 4 girls by my side(hahaha.)? Just do a mindmap of yourself until your paper are covered by it or you got no more idea.

Week Three (Brainstorming)

What we did was brainstorming. First we had 5mins to come out with an idea of 10 that how could a pig fly. It was easy. As it goes on, we had to do a total of 100 sketches within 30mins about way a cockroaches could die. All i can say was, it's really difficult. The first 10-15mins we could come out with lots of ideas. After awhile, our brains we're dry up with no ideas. We tried to brainstorm after that 15mins of many ideas, but we are not used to it since we had to come out with 100 ideas within 30mins.
You need to set a time and amount of ideas for brainstorming. If you did set those up, you are wasting time and you won't be able to come out with that one idea out of how many you did. It doesn't matter whether you're ideas are ridiculous or pathetic. Just be yourself, write down those ideas of yours. You would not know that ridiculous idea will be the one that you are looking for. Also rather then writing down in words, try to draw it out. Like how we did on our assignments. It will help you out too.
